Following the powerful response to In Search of Phillis Wheatley Peters, we are now raising funds to develop the feature-length documentary that will expand this story and bring even more of the groundbreaking research, archival discoveries, and historical context to the screen.

This next phase of the project will deepen the exploration of Phillis Wheatley Peters’ life, her marriage to John Peters, and the newly uncovered documents that challenge long-standing narratives about one of the most important literary figures in American history.
